Bay County COVID-19 Vaccination Partners

The Florida Department of Health in Bay County (DOH-Bay), in partnership with the Florida Department of Health, Florida Division of Emergency Management, Bay County Emergency Management, Publix, Walmart, Winn Dixie, and other community partners are providing COVID-19 vaccination sites.

The State has launched a state-wide pre-registration for vaccines available at https://myvaccine.fl.gov/. Those currently eligible for the vaccine may also call 866-201-0712 or TTY 833-476-1462. This pre-registration option is ready and available now. To sign up to receive text alerts, text ‘bayhealth’ to 888777 or visit bit.ly/bayhealthalert.

Publix is offering vaccines at all five Bay County locations. To learn more and register, visit publix.com/covid-vaccine.

Walmart is now offering COVID-19 vaccines at all five Bay County locations through the federal pharmacy program. To check availability or make an appointment, visit walmart.com/COVIDvaccine.

Winn Dixie is offering COVID-19 vaccines at two Bay County locations. To check availability or make an appointment, visit https://www.winndixie.com/pharmacy/covid-vaccine.

Who can receive the COVID-19 vaccine?

The COVID-19 vaccine is currently only authorized for

· Long term care facility residents and staff;

· Persons 40 years of age and older;

· Persons determined to be extremely vulnerable by a physician (form required); and

• Health care workers with direct patient contact.

Effective Monday, April 5, 2021 all Florida residents shall be eligible to receive any COVID-19 vaccine as prescribed by the Food and Drug Administration. The Pfizer vaccine is authorized for persons age 16 and up. The Moderna and Janssen (Johnson and Johnson) vaccines are authorized for persons age 18 and up.

· You can receive the vaccine in any county; you are not limited to your home county.

Do I need to be a resident of Florida to receive the COVID-19 vaccine?

State Surgeon General Scott Rivkees issued a Public Health Advisory on January 21 prioritizing vaccines for residents of the State of Florida or individuals in Florida for the purpose of providing health care services involving direct contact with patients.
